Christian Science has brought great joy to my life. I have had many healings that were clearly the result of prayer. A healing my son had as a young child still inspires me.
A few days before Christmas when our son was in the second grade, I went to pick him up from school and was informed he had suddenly collapsed; he no longer appeared to be in his right mind or to have any muscular control. The school was staffed by Christian Scientists. Administrators had not succeeded in reaching me, so had immediately called a Christian Science practitioner (as requested in our son's file), to begin prayerful treatment. This helped to calm my fear, and I contacted the boy's father.
Even though he is not a Christian Scientist, he gave his consent for complete reliance on Christian Science treatment for our son.
