In and out of the teacher's classroom: Reflections on class instruction

From the October 1994 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Student:

I've long wanted to be here
but didn't make it before.
The usual reasons: not ready,
other commitments, no funds.
Others thought the step wasn't
so important. "Maybe you can
do it later," they said,
as the years went by.
It had seemed impossible for me
to be a pupil here,
but I felt a Red Sea parting,
and here I am.

I'm learning more about
practicing the Christly love
that enables me to heal
and to follow my Way-shower
today. To touch the Almighty
who is infinite Truth.
I'm beginning to see I can do this.
