Many, many great ideas have been sent to the Suggestion Box. If only you were all here to help us implement them! Each suggestion is an indication of how much all of us care about the publishing activities of The Mother Church, and we're very grateful to have such active participation. We've received so many suggestions, in fact, that we didn't want another month to pass before reporting on some.
The Journal Card Directory has been the topic of many suggestions. Ideas include: making the sections perforated and removable; printing the directory once or twice a year instead of monthly; printing the directory as a stand-alone product; and, including an alphabetical index of practitioners. These timely suggestions are helping us develop a new more user-friendly directory, using graphic elements and type. We are currently exploring a new format by geographic location rather than by type of listing. This way, a reader would look up a city and find all of the churches, Reading Rooms, practitioners, nurses, college organizations, and so forth, located in that area. Keep in mind that we make about two hundred changes per month to the directory, and our first priority is to maintain the integrity of the information.
