Worldwide meetings on June 6

On December 19, 1894, Mary Baker Eddy ordained as pastor of The Mother Church, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In April 1895 the ordination of these books was expanded to include all branch churches. Mrs. Eddy writes in the Manual of The Mother Church that"...they will continue to preach for this Church and the world" (Art. XIV, Sect. 1). In commemoration of this unparalleled step in our Church's development, Christian Science branch churches, societies, and college organizations worldwide are invited to hold meetings on Monday, June 6, 1994, the same day as the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. This can be an occasion for members of The Mother Church to share our pastor with the world and their communities. Correspondence with more specific information will be mailed shortly, and upcoming issues of the periodicals will contain further details. Everyone is invited to share reports of meetings with the Clerk of The Mother Church; we will then share the highlights from as many as we can through the periodicals during the year.
