The body and you

From the January 1995 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We don't need to be overanxious about the human body, because God takes care of it. Surprising?

Not really, given the nature of the Supreme Being as Love, who is always loving each of us in ways we can come to understand. Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy tells us, "The divine Mind, which forms the bud and blossom, will care for the human body, even as it clothes the lily; but let no mortal interfere with God's government by thrusting in the laws of erring, human concepts." Science and Health, p. 62

Such a practical outlook! For when we accept that God is caring for the body, and we're not allowing the intrusion of erring concepts, we're less anxious about the body and hence healthier.
