"... the precious seed"

From the February 1995 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Center for World Thanksgiving's ThanksGiving Square is a non-denominational sanctuary in Dallas, Texas, devoted to the spread of a single message—the power of gratitude to bring unity and healing. In 1994 the Center extended an invitation to the Christian Science Church to be one of a dozen signers of their annual Declaration of World Thanksgiving. At a November 3, 1994, meeting for executive board members and Readers of branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, and Assistant Committees on Publication held at the Square, the Center's executive director, Elizabeth Esperson, told how two Christian Scientists are at work developing special centers for thanksgiving in their own cities. Grace Flechtner Lyon, a Christian Science practitioner and native Texan, also spoke that morning. Mrs. Lyon currently serves as Manager of the Journal and Herald Card Department in The Christian Science Publishing Society, overseeing applications for advertising as a Christian Science practitioner or a nurse.
