In December the 1994 Normal class was held by the Board of Education, as provided for in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy (see Art. XXVI, Sect. 4).
The teacher of the class, elected by The Christian Science Board of Directors, is Nathan A. Talbot, C.S.B., of Boise, Idaho, practitioner and teacher of Christian Science.
Mr. Talbot has served The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in a number of ways, having worked as Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science from 1976 to 1983. He then was appointed Manager of Committees on Publication of The Mother Church, and contributed in that capacity until 1992, when he served as Senior Executive Editor of the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald. The Christian Science Board of Directors elected Mr. Talbot President of The Mother Church for 1992-1993.
