Some time ago I was talking with a neighbour, who asked me if I knew that there was a lump on my eyelid. I was quite surprised, as I hadn't known of it. I rang a practitioner for treatment, and we each prayed for several weeks.
God sees man as His perfect likeness. If God is Spirit, I reasoned, then man must be like Him, spiritual. If God is Love, man must be like Him, loving; and if God is perfect, man must be like Him, perfect. Matter has no place in God's spiritual creation, but is a false, mortal belief, without origin or reality. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health, "Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit" (p. 264).
As I prayed in this way, it was not long before a lovely healing took place. The lump completely disappeared, and I rejoiced in another proof of God's goodness.
