"Cleanse thou me from secret faults" (Ps. 19:12). What a powerful, humble prayer is this Bible passage!
For several years I had a large lump on my back. Having been a student of Christian Science for more than fifty years, I prayed about this problem, but it did not yield quickly. I came to realize that I had accepted this condition as part of me. As I read a healing of a similar difficulty in the Christian Science Sentinel I was alerted to do more specific prayerful treatment. Immediately the above-mentioned Bible passage came to my thought.
I had become so uplifted in learning about cleansing thought and humble gratitude that the growth was naturally banished.
