I am very grateful for the blessings I have received as a student of Christian Science. We have five active children, and turning to God for health, education, and daily living has met our needs year in and year out. And I have learned to trust Him as Father-Mother.
Today I want to express my gratitude for a healing of a problem that occurred late in 1994. I had a fall that resulted in head, back, and pelvic injuries. Because I was confused and seemed unable to reach out to God in prayer as I normally am accustomed to do, my wife called a Christian Science practitioner to treat me through prayer. After a few days at home, my wife took me to a Christian Science care facility since I was unable to walk or sit up.
All my life I have turned to God in prayer for help with every problem, but on this occasion I did not want to hear anyone read to me for any length of time from the Bible or Science and Health. I was physically uncomfortable and had periods when I did not recognize my wife or other family members.
