Testimonies of Healing

I'll have to admit to feeling a little...

From the October 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I'll have to admit to feeling a little disappointment once when I described a Christian Science healing to someone. He wasn't too impressed. In fact, he felt that what I saw as the power of God in action was probably just a coincidence. Then I realized he needed a context. The very idea of such a healing was foreign to him. So I explained that the healing wasn't an isolated event. There was consistent evidence in my life of the healing of various difficulties when I prayed. As we discussed the healing in this context, his level of skepticism dropped substantially

I well remember the day I was
able to run and play again out
on the lawn with my friends.

This conversation set me to thinking about just how consistent healing through prayer has been in my life. To be sure, there is plenty of room for more healing, but as I thought back over the years, I was almost surprised at how consistently I have seen concrete examples of specific healings that resulted from turning to God. I began to realize that my life, like that of so many others who have been blessed by the Science of Christianity, could be described as a life of healings.
