Poems

For all mankind

From the December 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Since God is everywhere
I know that I can think beyond
The farthest star—
Past world on world—
And find His presence there.

Since God is everywhere
His light and goodness shine
Throughout the infinite range
Of His inspired design.

Yet here—this moment—
Closer than thought can realize—
Love wraps me 'round in tenderest care
And holds my hand and bids me rise ...

Love nourishes all my daily need
And plants this song to blossom in my heart:
Love's blessings all mankind may surely share

Since God—
God, who is Love—
is everywhere!
