What Christ Jesus has done for all mankind! He has shown us the way of salvation. He showed us how to understand God better and to obey Him, and so gain the resulting freedom from bondage and despair. In his healing ministry, Jesus didn't mouth words. He lived what he taught. He demonstrated, for each and every one of us to see, how practical Truth is.
When he was on the cross, forsaken by practically everyone, it looked as though his whole mission had failed. But he was already at work on his resurrection when from the cross he reached out to God and said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." Luke 23:34.
He forgave them all—those who had crucified him, those he had healed who now turned their backs on him, and those nearest and dearest to him who had deserted him. Wasn't he trying to tell us all something?
