Testimonies of Healing

Translated from French

I am deeply grateful to Christian Science....

From the December 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am deeply grateful to Christian Science. Because of what I have learned from it, my only purpose and ambition in life is to become more and more conscious of my status, and that of everyone, as God's perfect man. God, good, is expressed by man.

One evening, as I was preparing dinner, I felt a sharp pain in my hip and started to have some difficulty in walking. At first I didn't pay much attention to it. I limped about for the rest of the evening, but by the time I went to bed there was no improvement. I began to pray to know that in reality I am as perfect as God is, since I am His image. To calm myself I sang hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal, and then I fell asleep.

About three in the morning I woke in intense pain. I asked my husband to telephone a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me, and then I very quickly went back to sleep. However, the next morning I could not get out of bed; every movement brought excruciating pain.
