New appointments

We are pleased to announce several new elections and appointments.

The Board has elected Jon G. Harder, C.S.B., a Christian Science practitioner and teacher from Providence, Rhode Island, to serve as President of The Mother Church for the next year. He will continue as Chairman of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and will be available to the Directors for special lecture assignments. Karyn Mandan of Boston has been appointed Manager of the Board of Lectureship.

Mr. Harder is a longtime friend of the worldwide community of "honest seekers for Truth." Science and Health, p. xii. He has practiced healing and worked with Christian Science churches and groups in Asia, Europe, and North America, and has lectured on Christian Science in three languages in thirteen countries. He is an honors graduate of both Harvard and Boston Universities in languages and theology, and brings to his duties as President a rich background in spiritual ministry to those of many faiths and cultures, impelled by a lifelong love of the healing theology of Christian Science.
