The healing practice—give it your best thought!

From the July 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As a follower of Christ Jesus, what thoughts should the ministry of Christian healing stir in you? Certainly not an apathetic response or something like "I am not good enough to be involved in healing." To give the healing practice your best thought includes recognizing those arguments as the false suggestions they are. The spiritual fact is that everyone has the ability to think only intelligent thoughts because real consciousness is the reflection of the ever-active Mind, God.

The indissoluble unity of Mind and its witness, man, needs to be understood and demonstrated in daily experience. Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy declares, "The scientific unity which exists between God and man must be wrought out in life-practice, and God's will must be universally done." Science and Health, p. 202

The unity of God and man was demonstrated by Christ Jesus in his healing work and perhaps most persuasively in his resurrection from death. And this unity can be proved by anyone who gives the practice of Christian healing his or her best thought.
