I would like to give gratitude for a physical healing I experienced recently. Early one morning, as I was studying the weekly Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly), I experienced what appeared to be a mild heart attack.
As I allowed the truth I was finding in the Lesson to direct my thinking, peace returned, and the sharp pain in my chest vanished. I dressed and headed off to work. On my way to the office, however, pressure and pain again manifested itself. I again prayed silently to feel the healing power of the Christ present. The pain left, and my trust in God's goodness and care for His creation was restored.
After I arrived at the office, I began to feel as though I was going to lose consciousness. I immediately telephoned an experienced Christian Scientist and asked him to pray for me, as well.
