Testimonies of Healing

Gratitude for God's guidance

From the September 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the wonderful concept of home and heaven that my study of Christian Science has brought me. Not long ago I decided to leave the Midwest and relocate to New England, where I had been brought up. I trusted God to carry me through this transition, as I knew that trusting Him and setting aside human outlining would ensure that every detail of the move would be harmonious.

Hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal were my constant companions. A favorite as I prepared for the move was one that begins (No. 278):

Pilgrim on earth, home and
heaven are within thee,
Heir of the ages and child of
the day.
Cared for, watched over, beloved
and protected,
Walk thou with courage each
step of the way.
