Folio magazine, the premier periodical serving the magazine publishing industry, awarded The Christian Science Journal a Gold Award for Editorial Excellence at its annual conference in New York City in November. A panel of magazine professionals selected the Journal in the spirituality/religion category. In presenting the annual award, the judges commented:
"The Christian Science Journal is rich with insight into the meaning of fundamental Christian truth—prayer, forgiveness, truth, love—and commentary on the daily spiritual interaction between practitioners and God. It brings the practice of Christianity into an illuminating focus through articles showing how God acts directly, and on a very personal level, in our lives."
