Getting there

From the February 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Our younger daughter took class instruction in Christian Science while she was still in college. Her first association meeting was to be held in September of the next year. In the meantime, she learned that she had been accepted to study in a country overseas. She would need to arrive there on the very day of her association.

Won't it be interesting to see how Love works it out?

She wrote to her teacher to explain that it would be impossible to attend her association because of the date of her school registration overseas. He replied with one sentence scrawled on a sheet of paper: "Won't it be interesting to see how Love works it out for you to get here." We suggested she write to him again and explain that there were other stumbling blocks. She did so and received another reply with the same message: "Won't it be interesting to see how Love works it out for you to get here."
