Since I became acquainted with The Herald of Christian Science it has been my companion everywhere I go, within the country and abroad.
The Herald has often been part of the spiritual healings in my family. One of the first I remember is of asthma. I had had this problem since I was a child. Even after I got married, I was unable to go to the beach because I believed that a humid climate could harm me and that I would immediately have a physical reaction. Reading the Herald helped me a lot, and my healing eventually took place through Christian Science treatment.
Another important healing was of the habit of smoking, which had enslaved me for 20 years. In order to keep my thoughts firmly on Truth—and to resist the temptation to smoke, I would take the Herald with me everywhere. I still do that today, even though I am no longer tempted to smoke.
