Testimonies of Healing

A family's blessings

From the February 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I AM LONG OVERDUE in giving thanks for many healings in my life. At the age of 18, I had a broken engagement and was devastated. My only aim in life at that time was to get married and have a family, and I was worried this might not happen.

There was a recording of an article called "Angels" from Miscellaneous Writings by Mary Baker Eddy that I listened to over and over at the time. The sentence I liked best was, "Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment" (p. 307).

I was able to go on with complete trust in God to show me what was right for me. I prayed daily for God's will to be done, and I also prayed that if it was right for me to marry, nothing could stop it. And if it wasn't something else would work out. I knew God was in control.
