Dawn does come

An actor thinks about light—and healing.

From the February 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Living in Italy, I'm constantly aware of the presence of color and light. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to feel the first soft beams of dawn as they filter through my window. I watch God's hues as they gradually transform the night sky from shadow and shade to glorious color, until everything is illuminated by the sun's rays.

"It's never a case of 'how great I am,' but always how great I AM is."

One such morning, while I was facing what seemed like an insurmountable problem, I read these verses from the Bible: "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lam. 3:22, 23.
