God's spacesuit

From the February 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

You may have heard in the news that a lot of people in the world want to feel extra safe right now. If you or your friends have been feeling like this, too, then read this story about God's spacesuit. It will tell you how God's love protects you.

WHAT DO YOU CALL PEOPLE who travel to outer space? You're right! They're called astronauts. And have you seen what they wear? It's a shiny spacesuit, with a big round helmet on top. These suits cover the astronauts from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes. When astronauts are floating in outer space, nothing on the outside can get through the spacesuit to hurt them on the inside. Their suits keep them safe.

Have you ever thought about a suit that keeps you safe down here on earth? I have. The kind I'm thinking about is different from the one an astronaut wears. For one thing, it's invisible. That means you can't see it. You can't even feel it. It has no zips, no buttons, and no seams. You can't lose it, either. And no one can ever take it away from you.
