Daughter healed of partial deafness

From the January 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When My Three Daughters were young, the pediatricians at that time wanted to give them shots every week as a protection against various diseases. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way to raise these girls.

A little girl who was a Christian Scientist passed our house every morning on her way to school, and I asked her if she would walk my daughter, Bonnie, to kindergarten every morning. I also asked her if she went to the doctor. She said no, and if I liked she would tell her mother to come and tell me about Christian Science. I said I would like that. When her mother came she brought her Bible and Science and Health to read the weekly Bible Lesson, found in the Christian Science Quarterly, to me. I listened as I ironed many little dresses.

I enjoyed these times so much that we decided to start going to the Church of Christ, Scientist, in our town, and we enrolled the girls in Sunday School. This is just what we need to raise our girls fearlessly, I thought.
