Since November is Bible Month, the Journal asked kids from around the world to talk about their favorite Bible story or verse. Here are some of their answers.
The story of Ruth and Naomi reminds me that I can take care of my friends, and even people who aren't really my close friends. I think that Ruth was very kind to stay with Naomi when Naomi decided to travel back to Bethlehem. Ruth left behind her friends and family to stay with Naomi. I think that all the good things that happened were because Ruth and Naomi were trusting in the one God.
Sometimes at lunchtime when I might want to play with my friends, I try to be like Ruth, and I spend some time playing with someone who might be looking a bit lonely or sad. I know that God never makes anyone lonely or sad, and soon they are feeling happy again.
