Some Time Ago one of my colleagues gossiped a lot about me. I became very angry because the stories he told about me were not true at all. Instead of being charitable and gentle, I lost my self-control and challenged that person, using harsh words.
The next day, while still feeling angry about this person, I was inspired to read a copy of the Indonesian edition of The Herald of Christian Science. I just picked it up without knowing what the content of that particular issue was. In it, I found an article titled: "Anger is Alien to Man" (April-June 1963, pp. 19–21). It was exactly what I needed at the moment.
Reading this article freed me from my anger. The author wrote: "Giving in to anger exacts a heavy penalty from physical and mental well-being, because it violates God's law of perfect harmony.
