Christianity is coming. . . . . . not with a sword, but with a book.

From the June 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science and author of its textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, wrote about her book, "The fact remains, that the textbook of Christian Science is transforming the universe." Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896, p. 372.

This is a book we can hold in our hands. We read and study it. We learn from it. It grows in significance in our thoughts and actions. We apply it to our individual development, and to maintain or restore our health. It can be shared with others who need to know of its power in the small and great events in human affairs. It tells us that the Comforter Jesus promised has come to stay with us forever. The transforming power of Science and Health is seen in the growing record of the changed and uplifted lives of its readers.

Offering hope to the world's weary seekers and eager finders, this book's chapter "Prayer" opens its arms to their hopes and gathers them into a sacred understanding of prayer that changes the call for help from a wistful plea to a practical communion with God.
