Illumination is transforming. Some years ago while I was camping at Mont-Tremblant Provincial Park in Quebec, Canada, I was lifted above the mundane routine of camping as beams of sunlight burned off layers of fog and progressively revealed a breath-taking mountain and forest panorama. More recently, on the Gaspé Peninsula, also in Quebec, I turned a corner on a river road and the grace and beauty before me took my breath away. For a good ten minutes all I could say (repeatedly) was, "Wow!"
Those encounters are symbols of the kind of illumination and transformation that our authors describe in this month's issue.
Richard Bergenheim's "To build a better world, you need a solid foundation" provides a perfect basis for progress—whether it's in creating a home or a new nation. And for proof that spirituality illuminates and changes lives, turn to the special section titled "Science and Health—Transforming the universe." There you'll find people from around the world whose encounters with Mary Baker Eddy's book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures have profoundly changed their pasts, their presents, and their futures.
