JOURNAL WINS AWARD FOR SERIES

From the June 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Religion Communicators Council recently awarded the Journal the DeRose-Hinkhouse Certificate of Merit for a series of articles that appeared between June 2002 and December 2002. This series chronicled the first century of publishing at its sister periodical, The Herald of Christian Science. Last year the Journal won a similar award for its cover design on the February 2001 issue.

The DeRose-Hinkhouse awards ceremony was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 24. Eight award categories cover writing and editing, design, marketing, and web communications. This year's awards hosted 457 entries. In addition to the Journal award, the Christian Science Sentinel and the Jubal-ation music CD published by the Christian Science Publishing Society were also awarded recognition at the awards ceremony.

The Religion Communicators Council is an interfaith association of more than 500 religion communicators working in print and electronic communication, and marketing and public relations. The DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Awards are presented annually.
