I was preparing to do the dishes one evening in our cabin. We live in the backwoods of Vermont with no electricity or phone, and have to heat our water on the propane or wood stove. As I struck a match to light the stove, a piece of the burning tip of the match broke apart and flew into my left eye.
I panicked and went to the sink to splash water into my eye. We have no running water in the kitchen, so as I fumbled around looking for my jug of water, I calmed down a bit and realized that water was not the remedy I wanted. And what I did know was that I could rely on God for immediate help.
God's help is immediate.
