From the February 2004 issue of The Christian Science Journal

MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, spirituality is a factor in the individual quest for healing. This interest in spiritual healing is a growing force in society. For example, Newsweek magazine focused on "God & Health" last November and devoted ten pages to its coverage of the subject.

This month's Frontlines section focuses on "Health and God" as seen from the specific perspective of Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Mrs. Eddy was a spiritual healer long before it became a popular profession, and The Church of Christ, Scientist, which she established, has a solid record of success in this area. Following Frontlines, the second segment of the new series "Looking back, looking forward—at the Church Mary Baker Eddy designed" presents both a historic and a contemporary view of what spiritual healers are and what they do for the people who come to them for healing.

Also, this month inaugurates a new section devoted to "Home & Family." In the coming months this section will present spiritual approaches to topics such as childbirth, child-rearing, child-parent and sibling-sibling relationships. It's part of our conscious effort to provide support for families around the globe. We welcome your ideas and experiences.
