According to the Oregon Quarterly, "New Research on Student Spirituality," Oregon Quarterly, Autumn 2004, p. 35 . a University of California, Los Angeles, Higher Education Research Institute survey showed that 77 percent of students pray; 78 percent of respondents discuss religion and spirituality with friends; 73 percent say their religious and spiritual beliefs help develop their identity.
