From the January 2005 issue of The Christian Science Journal

According to the Oregon Quarterly, "New Research on Student Spirituality," Oregon Quarterly, Autumn 2004, p. 35 . a University of California, Los Angeles, Higher Education Research Institute survey showed that 77 percent of students pray; 78 percent of respondents discuss religion and spirituality with friends; 73 percent say their religious and spiritual beliefs help develop their identity. To find out more about what students think about spirituality today, members of The First Church of Christ, Scientist's College and University Activities department asked people on various campuses around the US a series of questions on the topic.
