From the January 2005 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When Barry Douglass isn't taking photos of centuries-old Ephesus, as he did during a trip last fall, he be considering the Digital Age as a metaphysical metaphor—the way he does in his leadoff article, "Digital fish" (p. 24), in our employment section this month. The rest of the time, Barry works as a private investor in Los Angeles, California.

Contributing Editor Barbara Vining, a Christian Science practitioner in Toledo, Ohio, was motivated to write about prayer and Christian Science treatment this month because she saw, as she puts it, "a huge potential for blessing" in covering the topic. Her article (p. 32) explores ways people can ethically pray when others need healing, even if they haven't asked for treatment.

Contributing Editor Channing Walker from Glendora, California, is still a Christian Science practitioner—a career he practically launched from his bathtub, as he'll tell you in his article, "Full house" (p.54). Today, though, he has an office, and the babies he refers to in his piece are almost adults.
