CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENDORSEMENT

Chaplains representing the Church of Christ, Scientist, must be members in good standing of The Mother Church and a branch church or society, should be loyal to the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy and be distinctly Christian in their expression and practice of their faith. They should be students of the Bible and of the published writings of Mrs. Eddy, and they should be obedient to the Church Manual. They should be committed to the practice of Christian Science, and have a demonstrable understanding of Christian Science healing. This requires Primary class instruction by an authorized and loyal teacher of Christian Science. They should be of exemplary character, physically of normal appearance, and able to express themselves appropriately in both the written and spoken word. They should be examples of lives lived in the spirit and letter of Chrit's Christianity, as taught by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, and able to communicate this readily this readily to the general public.

• A baccalaureate degree of not less than 120 semester hours from an accredited college or university.

• Successful completion of not less than 72 semester hours of graduate professional study in theology or related subjects at an accredited graduate school.
