MISSION INVERTED, MISSION RIGHTED

Divine Love could never forget its own nature and impel hatred, because Love is the ever-clear and caring Mind that sustains all life.

"ISN'T THE PROBLEM REALLY RELIGION?" So went the pointed message of a recent letter to the editor in my local newspaper. The writer was referring to what he saw as the causes underlying war, whether armed conflict, unholy "holy wars," or "culture wars" between religious believers.

While religion's unifying fundamentals at times seem overwhelmed by a rising tide of divisive fundamental-ism, religion itself is not the problem. The problem is the malpractice of religion.
