1. With never–ending zest, Loftin Witcher, a retired general contractor, took up tap dancing three years ago, rode a bicycle 200 miles across the state of Missouri last October, and reads once a week to a first grade class. 4. Max Warner's first year of college didn't get off to a great start. And when a foot injury threatened to sideline him on his cross–country running team, he decided it was time to get serious, spiritually.
