Thank you to all of you! I had just read in the previous weeks a book and was pretty sad about the decline of membership numbers in Christian Science. I didn't know how to deal with it. Then you come along with your message of "unity," the way my daughter [who came to the Hamburg meeting] expressed it, "unity as a basic metaphysical principle." A big light bulb went on for her. And I, too, know now what I have to do.
I experienced something else that was wonderful. Before I left the house for the meeting I read again very thoroughly the letter of December 28, 2009 [the invitation to the meeting by The Christian Science Publishing Society]. I was filled with such a warming sense of gratitude in a way I have truly never felt before. That included the hosting church. Result: I realized while still on the way that I'm going to get a credit card as soon as possible. And that the cost is not going to be important to me. And then I put some cash into the donation box of Second Church. I was so thoroughly happy and grateful for everything. Thank you! Thank you!

First of all, thank you for all what you shared with us during this meeting. We really appreciated it!
About my "non-diplomatic" question: I'm sure you understood that I was not expressing my own thinking but more a "French thinking" that many people inside and outside the audience have.
The word suspicion that you, Michael, used is the right one. This kind of opposition to The Mother Church is quite strong and I felt it strongly during the meeting, that's why I wanted to come back on this issue and make more concrete the kind of opposition any action from The Mother Church has to face, and what we all need to handle. Mrs. Eddy says that seeing the error we want to destroy helps its destruction.
We could talk more about those kind of oppositions if needed, but I'm sure that the love, the Christ's presence, we felt will clear the way.
Have a wonderful trip back!
