Letters

From the August 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I just loved the article “Overcoming Opposition” by J. Thomas Black (p. 44) in the June Journal—so beautifully written.

Having overcome severe opposition in my early study of Christian Science and joining Church, I appreciate what Christ Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy must have gone through. Their teachings gave me strength and courage to heed not "the pointed bayonet ” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 225) and to keep marching on firm in the faith that the God who brought me to the Truth would be my guardian angel at all times.

Thank you so much for all the inspiring articles in the Journal. God bless you all in the fine work you are doing.
