I’ve always been deeply grateful that I was born into a home where Mary Baker Eddy was revered and Christian Science was studied. Our family had many proofs of its healing power.
It was about 1920 when my parents took up the study of Christian Science. They began attending a church, taking my two sisters to the Sunday School. I was born a few years later, and at two weeks old I was diagnosed with double pneumonia. The doctor said there was nothing he could do.
My parents contacted a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly said she would come to the house. Within a few hours this dear lady’s understanding of Mrs. Eddy’s teachings was demonstrated by my being healed. Over the years, I’ve experienced many healings and had financial problems solved through realizing that the healing Christ is ever present.
