The Journal has a new column coming soon called “Learning from what Jesus said.” Whether you’re inspired by the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ parables, or what the master Christian said during the last supper—or something else entirely—we’re interested in hearing how Christ Jesus’ words have brought meaning and depth to your practice of Christian Science. Sharing healing experiences that relate to the topic is welcome but not required. See http://jsh.christianscience.com/submit for submission information.
I just finished my first reading of the August Journal. What an outstanding and inspiring issue it is—just packed with numerous articles requiring further thoughtful study.
But one article in particular contains a statement that really hit home to me. It’s in the answer Lois Carlson gives in the “Questions & Answers” column, where Lois states, “To be divine is to be designed to the highest standard of excellence, and that true standard, with its joys, can’t be kept from being known and lived by us.” The thought of my being “designed to the highest standard of excellence” certainly leaves no room for any imperfections. Any evidence to the contrary is absolutely false!
