Of Good Report

The opposite of good

From the September 2015 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Our granddaughter Cassidy was to spend the weekend with us. We needed to pick her up from school, but I was nauseous and very uncomfortable. Before we got in the car, I called a friend who is a Christian Science practitioner and asked her to support me in prayer.

As we drove along, I prayed both aloud and silently, declaring spiritual truths about myself that I have learned from my study of Christian Science. I affirmed that God had made me perfect in His image, and this picture of illness was not how He was seeing me. I was grateful to be able to drive safely in spite of the symptoms. My husband, Ron, was silently supporting me in prayer.

God had made me perfect in His image, and this picture of illness was not how He was seeing me.
