I have been a student of Christian Science for a long time, and when I am faced with problems, I regularly turn to God in prayer for help. And I look to the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson to find God and spiritual truth.
When I find something of this truth, it has often resulted in healing. But sometimes healing has not come as I had hoped it would, and at times like this I’ve had a growing feeling that I was missing something fundamental to healing, specifically feeling a sense of God’s love.
I’d heard many testimonies by Christian Scientists in which their feeling of God’s ever-present love resulted in tremendous healing. Christ Jesus healed countless individuals with the power of Truth and Love. I yearned to feel the presence of this Love, not just to know about it intellectually. I knew that divine Love was everywhere, but I didn’t know how to really feel its presence.
