Healing of age-related difficulties

From the April 2016 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A little more than two years ago I experienced difficulty in moving and walking. Because I live alone and am well advanced in years, one of my daughters came to pick me up to spend time with her and her husband until I could again take care of myself.

I was put into bed and cared for there. Because movement was difficult, I had to use a kitchen chair with wheels to get around inside when I could. I also needed assistance to wash myself.

As I usually do when challenges come, I called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer. I called her every day, sometimes twice a day. She gave me an uplifting thought to hold to each day and asked me to listen for what God was telling me. She also assured me that I can think clearly because I reflect divine Mind, the source of intelligence, and that I can always hear right thoughts, God’s healing thoughts. I took this seriously, and it brought daily progress and supported my healing.
