USE OF MONITOR IN DISTRIBUTION BOXES We sometimes receive inquiries from the Field as to the desirability of including noncurrent copies of The Christian Science Monitor in literature distribution boxes. Each branch church and society must of course determine the answer which is best designed to meet local conditions.

MEMBERSHIP IN THE MOTHER CHURCH—A VALUABLE PRIVILEGE One of our members writes, "I feel it my duty and privilege to be a member of The Mother Church. " As an earnest student of Christian Science, are you considering the importance of membership in The Mother Church? Application blanks and information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal and in The Herald of Christian Science , or from clerks of branch churches and societies.
From the Treasurer of The Mother Church Per Capita Tax is provided for by Mary Baker Eddy in the Manual of The Mother Church ( Art VIII, Sect. 13 ), reading as follows: "Every member of The Mother Church shall pay annually a per capita tax of not less than one dollar, which shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer.
ANNOUNCEMENT The Christian Science Board of Directors Establishment of the new post of Executive Assistant to The Christian Science Board of Directors was announced by the Board. Charles Henry Gabriel has resigned as Publishers' Agent of the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy to accept appointment to the new position, effective April 1.
APPLICATIONS FOR LECTURES IN JULY AND AUGUST Churches, societies, and college organizations in the United States and Canada wishing to give lectures during the first two months of the next lecture year, namely July and August, 1963, are requested to inform the Board of Lectureship before May 17. Applicants will be advised about June 10 of the lecturers who will be available during July and August.
As the project outlined in our letter of November 15, 1962, to every member of The Mother Church reaches its halfway mark, we take this opportunity to thank you for your ready response. We gratefully acknowledge the measure of your devotion and consecration.

NOTICE Lectures in Europe Following the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church in June, announcement is made as to the members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship assigned to Great Britain, Ireland, and Continental Europe for the coming lecture year. Branch churches and societies in these countries should send their applications for lectures through their clerks as soon as possible after the announcement so that they may be received by the lecturers not later than July 1.
