FROM THE COMMITTEE ON PUBLICATION Meeting Hostile Attacks Occasionally, through the years, Christian Scientists have received through the mail leaflets or circulars attacking Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy. Sometimes these attacks have originated with other religious groups, and the language they have employed may have been intemperate and even scurrilous.

From the Treasurer of The Mother Church Per Capita Tax is provided for by Mary Baker Eddy in the Manual of The Mother Church ( Art VIII, Sect 13 ), reading as follows: "Every member of The Mother Church shall pay annually a per capita tax of not less than one dollar, which shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer" Payments may be sent during the year at any time between January 1 and December 31. Special printed forms are mailed annually to all members for their convenience in making payments.

NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly. ANNOUNCING A NEW BOOKLET "SEVEN HYMNS—WORDS BY MARY BAKER EDDY" Responding to the request of many who have desired to have the words of Mary Baker Eddy's seven much-loved and inspiring hymns published separately, the Trustees under her Will present to the Field a new booklet entitled "Seven Hymns—Words by Mary Baker Eddy. ANNOUNCING "THE CHILDREN'S TALKING BOOK" The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy announce with pleasure the release of a new album of records entitled "The Children's Talking Book. " In this album, beautifully illustrated in full color, are printed selections from "Miscellaneous Writings," including "Angels," The Children's Prayer, and the prayer "To the Big Children"; from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, the twenty-third Psalm as interpreted by Mrs.

With the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, the Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society announce two new quarterly editions of The Herald of Christian Science —one in Japanese and the other in Bahasa Indonesia. The first issues will appear in January, 1962.
