THE search for God is in every heart, consciously or unconsciously, for in every heart there is a spark of good. Either through trials or through the love of good itself, men in their search for God strive to gain a clearer concept of Deity.

OUR UNIVERSAL FAMILY

ALMOST everyone agrees that one of earth's greatest joys is the love expressed in the human family. Paradoxically, however, the human family seems the source of much of earth's sorrow, and all too often we find the sorrow almost outweighing the joy.

LOVE COMFORTS THE STRUGGLING HEART

AT the moment a loved one passes from sight, the suffering human heart of the bereaved cries out for compassion, sympathy, and solace. Christian Science, overflowing with the comfort of God, divine Love, brings the mourner certain and prompt release from the mortal sense of shock, sorrow, and loss and replaces these turbulent beliefs with peace, confidence, and strength.

"THE SOURCE AND RESOURCES OF BEING"

A FEW words which a resident of the United States of America caught while dialing for a radio program were these: "This country must co-ordinate its natural resources. " This statement brought a question to thought: What is the most valuable of this country's resources? The answer, unquestionably, is spirituality, regardless of what the radio speaker may have meant by natural resources.

HEAVEN'S FIRST LAW

ONE of the deep yearnings of mankind is for a greater sense of peace and harmony, for heaven on earth, as some might express it. Through the teachings of Christian Science we receive the glorious tidings that this heaven is indeed a present possibility.

"GIVE ME A MAN"

" GIVE me a man, that we may fight together," Goliath, the Philistine giant, shouted to the armies of Israel. And Saul, the king of Israel, and all his men heard these words and were "greatly afraid.

THE PRIVILEGE OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PRACTICE

IT is the privilege of the Christian Science practitioner to help others to help themselves. He learns that through helping his brother, he helps himself, thus in proper sequence increasing his ability to apply the healing truth of Christian Science.

WELLSPRINGS OF REFRESHMENT

THE natural hungering and thirsting of mankind for the things of Spirit are vividly pictured in a verse from the book of Psalms ( Ps. 42:1 ), "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

THE FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH

THE Christian Scientist's faith in God rests on strong foundations. It mounts far above personal desire, willful intention, or pious mysticism.
