Christian Science is practical and operative because it is based on God as all-knowing Spirit, or Mind, and because it approaches every problem from the scientific standpoint that only the spiritual and perfect are real. Mrs.

To one whose heart is heavy with the weight of some seemingly overwhelming problem, be it sickness or sorrow, pain, fear, lack, or any other afflictive belief of material sense, comes the inspired counsel of the Psalmist ( Ps. 95:1, 2 ): "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

The giving of a Christian Science treatment is the most joyful, the most satisfying, and the most rewarding experience on earth, because it is prayer motivated by God, Love, Soul. Scientific prayer, as revealed in Christian Science, is the unlabored, the calm and peaceful unfoldment of Love's power; it reveals Immanuel, or "God with us.

Often in our human experience discordant mortal suggestions regarding our health, affairs, and relationships come flooding into our consciousness, threatening to overwhelm us with a sense of hopelessness and defeat. But as we turn in thought to the omnipresence of Spirit, God, as revealed in Christian Science, we find a standard by which we can gauge the validity of the beliefs assailing us, the standard of perfect God and His expression, perfect man.

The healing ministry of Christ Jesus proved conclusively the irresistible nature of divine law. Every phase of persecution that threatened to retard Jesus' demonstration of God's law of harmony and dominion was triumphantly overcome by the power of divine Truth, which he so fully exemplified.

" Our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body" ( Phil. 3:20, 21 ).

Physical and other outward conditions indicate inward mental convictions and decisions, because these decisions determine and precede outward manifestations. Mental convictions may master one, either for good or for evil.

Who would not be rich in health, friendships, freedom, and supply? Christian Science teaches that our right desires are fulfilled in proportion to our willingness to learn the way and to walk in the path of holiness. Christ Jesus presented the true way when he said ( Matt.

" Healing the sick and the sinner with Truth demonstrates what we affirm of Christian Science, and nothing can substitute this demonstration. I recommend that each member of this Church shall strive to demonstrate by his or her practice, that Christian Science heals the sick quickly and wholly, thus proving this Science to be all that we claim for it.
