Paul exhorts us in II Corinthians (5: 20), "Be ye reconciled to God." Acceptance of this admonition begins to establish for us a closer relationship with God, approaches the atonement, and brings a larger measure of human and divine coincidence.
The ministry of reconciliation—reconciling ourselves, and necessarily all we are aware of, to God—atonement, and human and divine coincidence are so closely allied that in demonstrating one, we demonstrate all three. Each is a redeeming and healing ministry evident in every Christian Science demonstration. Reconciling ourselves to God means bringing all our thinking into accord with divine Mind; it includes and demands recognizing all that exists as emanating from and expressing God.
Taking every thought to the "throne of grace" (Hebr. 4:16), keeping it allied to deific knowing, aids in achieving the atonement and at the same time reconciles us to God. In the measure that we bring our thoughts into agreement with God and thereby maintain our oneness with Him, the human naturally coincides with the divine, and our rightful human experience is more clearly evidenced.
