Are individuals controlled by a supercomputer? According to physiology, the human brain is the basis of thought and action and, in addition to storing knowledge, influences the body. This brain is claimed to be the source of intelligence, consciousness, reason, and all movement.

Some places in the United States and other parts of the world have a special beauty in an early fall day—a depth and purity of light not always noticeable at other seasons. This light symbolizes for me the spiritual innocence and purity of Christ, especially significant, perhaps, because it is a phenomenon of autumn.

The scientific understanding of multiplication as the manifestation of God's power is needed in defeating such false beliefs as overpopulation and abnormal cell increase. Is the ancient belief that the universe and man are material approaching its end? In obedience to the law of God, infinite Spirit or divine Truth, this belief is self-destroying, and its eventual demise is obliquely indicated in forms of accelerated error, such as overpopulation and the apparent proliferation of certain kinds of terrorism, crime, violence.

Wham! What a noise! Another plane goes supersonic—or "crashes the sound barrier," to state it incorrectly. Actually, there has never been a sound barrier.

As many students of Christian Science have found, it is possible to feel comfort and release from sorrow when someone we love has died. Through the inspired understanding of the Apostle Paul's words "Henceforth know we no man after the flesh," II Cor.

It has been said that frustration is thwarted self-will. Such a statement bids one pause and consider.

Healing, a condition of salvation, is inherent in the theology of Christian Science. Healing includes dropping off whatever is unreal, unlike God and His creation, for the real.
